Gary Buete came to BRSC in the summer of 2000 and immediately had an impact on the quality of soccer in Baton Rouge. The Club has grown from 3500 players to almost 7,000 players in 2012. In this time, BRSC has won over 30 Louisiana State Championships. Gary has been a Region 3 Olympic Development Staff Coach for the last 6 years. The last 2 years he has been the Assistant Head Coach for the 1999 and 2000 Region 3 ODP age groups. Additionally, Buete was named the first Commissioner of the US Club Soccer Gulf States Premier league and was recently named Top Forty under Forty by the Baton Rouge Area Business Report. Buete holds an Undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and a Masters degree in Sport Management. Buete also has a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “A” License and National Youth License. Buete is a member of the Louisiana Olympic Development Program (ODP) Coaching Staff and an instructor for the United States Soccer Federation “E” “D” and “C” level coaching licenses and Youth Modules. Gary was also named an NSCAA College ALL American. Buete is joined by his family, wife Fain and three children, Joseph, Fain and Will.
